Blog #2

Hi all,

Well I'm in Brisbane. Haven't really done much, but being back in the sunshine is great. I went to the coast with my best friend Libby on Monday. Was such a great day. The weather was lovely and the water was great. Didn't notice much talent down there, but hey, it was still a good day. Was supposed to do my friend Nate's modeling portfolio yesterday (Tuesday), but his eyes are all funky at the moment and he didn't wanna look like a druggo in the photos lol. I can understand that. Not many people would of hired him.

Hopefully going to the coast with another friend on Saturday. It should be good. Libby and Nate and I wanna go to Wet'n'Wild tomorrow, but we dunno if we'll get there. We shall see.

I'm going to visit the graveside of my friend John today and put some flowers down. Will also go to the site where another friend Lisa died and put some roses there for her as well. I miss them both so much. They were great people. I don't like going to the site where Lisa died, but because she was cremated, there is no grave to go and put flowers down for her.

Was going to have a going away BBQ for my parents this weekend, but I don't think I will. I think I will just let them organise it themselves, that way they wont get cranky with me for doing it and everything. Its the thought that counts hehe. I hate that any kids I have wont be coming here to visit grandma and grandpa. I will have to fly them down to Tassie to visit mum and dad now. Oh well, at least my parents are happy and are getting what they want.

I'm having a dinner for my birthday at a restaurant that my parents go to all the time. Its really nice and has cheap dinner days, like Monday is all you can eat pizza, pasta and risotto for $15 night. Wednesday is steak for $18 night. Those steak meals are huge and so yummy. I don't really eat steak, but they have lamb and chicken as well. I had the chicken.

OK well I'm off to do stuff now, so I will come back another day and update more :)

Hi all,

Yesterday I got my reborn baby from my friend Leah, who makes them in Victoria. She takes a vinyl sculpt and makes it look and feel like a real baby. I named mine Brooklyn Anne and she's absolutely amazing. She's only 18 inches long and weighs a real feeling 3 pound 2 oz. I have a few different outfits for her and I have taken photo's in the all now. Don't be mistaken, this is not just a doll. She is a collectors item and an heirloom that can be passed down the generations. Leah is an amazing artist and I'm so glad to have met her, both for being that amazing artist, but also a great friend. Leah's reborn nursery is called Tiny Earth Angels Nursery.

I went to the Dr today to get the results of some blood tests I had done yesterday. They came back OK. The Dr thinks that I have a virus still, that I thought I got rid of a month ago. Putting all that into consideration, that means that I've had this virus for approx 10 weeks now. Not happy Jan!! I have to have whats called a "Holter Monitor" at the end of this month to make sure my heart's OK. A scary thing to think about, let me tell you. I'm having nightmares where I'm having heart surgery. I'm a bit of a weirdo. I'll admit it haha.

My parents are having fun (insert sarcasm here) with their endeavors to move to Tassie (Tasmania). There is a guy that wants to put an offer on the house they're selling, but he's currently in England, so that's causing all types of drama's. Mum's got itchy feet and she just wants to be in Tassie in their new house already. I can't blame her though. The view from this new place is incredible. I will have to get some proper pics once they've moved in and I go down for a holiday sometime. Its a great place. I've been there once, when we were in Tassie for my cousins wedding, but the other people still lived in it then and they're older and so lots of funky furniture.

I have a couple of potential photography clients, that I'm really stoked about. Also started writing a book. I guess you could say I'm crafty all round. Thats the tampon (Libra star sign) part of me. Don't mind my stuff there. We have tampons called Libra over here and so whenever anyone asks me what my star sign is (no, not one of those cheesy pick-up lines that people use), I just tell them I'm a tampon. Makes them think for a few minutes, but then they get it and have a good giggle over it.

3 weeks today until I go back home to Brisbane for my 24th birthday. I was supposed to be seeing a guy while up there, but he's gone a little quiet the last 2 weeks, so will have to wait and see what happens there. I have loads of other friends and rellies up there that are dying to see me, so should be a good birthday this year. Having a dinner with a few of my friends and whichever rellies want to come on the Tuesday, being my actual birthday. I'm secretly hoping that mum and dad aren't in Tassie by then, so they can be there, but at the same time, I hope that they are in Tassie and getting settled by then. What a conundrum.

Anywayz, I've yabbered on enough, so I'm going to do some journalism work now. Back soon.
